NERVE, GOKKY + SUBWAY!

So, the past couple of days have been exciting!

As well as the Freelance Journalism, I have just been told that I can be a fashion writer for 'Nerve' magazine which is ran by Bournemouth Uni students.

This is great news as it well help me practice more and show employers that I'm very dedicated and have lots of experience!

Apart from that I've just been into Uni to catch up ith my friend Lauren (who I call Gokky) as it as her birthday today, so I gave her her prezzies! Was so good to catch up with her again!!!

I've kept up my walking regime and have trying to eat healthier so I actually loose some weight! I had a nice healthy Turkey+Ham Subway for dinner! (mmm)...

TRES EXCITING NEWS!!!

So, it's quite late but I just HAD to write about this... I am now a Freelance Journalist!!!

Yes, it's offical! I got offered it today and I'm so excited! It means I will actually be getting paid for doing the thing I love the most... definitely a result! :D

So now, I will be a published writer on 'The Global Herald' and 'Fashionista.vg'

Anyway, now that's out of my system (sort of), I can talk about the rest of today. And what a nice day it was! As I mentioned on the previous post, my sister came down last night.

We were gonna go out, but were both real tired, so decided to go to Tesco Express, grab a bottle of Rose (Gallios White Grenache- THE BEST!) and come back and watch 'Yes Man'.

That film is SOOOO funny! I didn't even watch it that long ago, but I just HAD to see it again becuase I love it so much! Jim Carey is just the best!

We washed our wine down with a HUGE tub of sweet popcorn... mmm.... not the healthiest choice, but I figured I've been walking literally everywhere since I've got here, so I'm all good. Everyone know's exercise is the way forward anyway!

But yeh, so last night was really good and today was fun as well, we went and had a nice pub lunch and then went to try and find me a job in town. It wasn't HUGELY successful (damn recession), but I managed to get a few C.V's out, so hopefully I'll hear something back soon!

So yes, great day today, good food, goos company and lots of exercise... and...

I HAVE ARRIVED...!

Yes, I am here writing this post from Bournemouth! Yay! My new flat is all set up now and I LOVE it... It's soooooo cute (if i do say so myself!). It's ended up a very girly pastel pink because the sofas were both green, so I thought they'd go together nicely. It's VERY girly, but I really like it- sometimes too much pink can look tacky but I actually think my just looks very light and delicate.

Yesterday my Mum and Sis came down to help me move in. In was TRES tiring because I was literally up and down the stairs all day (no lift!) and then we were walking all around town carrying lots of heavy stuff so I deffo got a work-out! My leg muscles were as hard a steel today!

I was so grateful to my Mum as she bought me lots of stuff for the flat, but we ended up in an argument (as usual) just because she kept doing everything I told her not to... you see, she's a bit of a control freak is my Mum.

I thought I wouldn't see my rents again for a while, but I couldn't get loads of things to work, so they came back down to help me bless them!

But me and the Mother ended on ANOTHER argument- this time over the washing machine! (I know- so silly!) You see, she'd already told me how to use it, but she decided that she NEEDED to demonstrate it (even though I told her NOT to) and then it got jammed... then who did she blame... yup, me! Actual joke she is!

But anyway, really do love my flat and am feeling really at home here. My sis is coming up to stay tonight and we're going out for a few bevs which'll be larrrvely!

SHOPPING AND CINEMA (AGAIN- OOPS!)

So yesterday I went shopping in Portsmouth, and I must say I was stupidly excited for some reason as I haven't gone in aaaaaaaaaaaaages! I wanted to get some nice new things for my return to Uni and I did!

There wasn't many things left in the sale, which was a bit of a dissappointment, but I managed to get a few bargains including a pair of leopard print tights that are AMAZING and some red ones too that are a TAD daring, but you gotta do theses things lol (and they were only £1.80!)

I also got that mega cute little panda hat from River Island and the cutest heart necklace from Topshop!

All in all a good shopping day!

AND... I'm ashamed to admit it, me and my sis went to the cinema AGAIN... lol

Although, we did kidna have an excuse- you see the parking at Gunwharf (fancy shopping place) is real expensive, but you get it cheap if you've been to the cinema, so we done it for that really (honest lol).

We saw 'It's Complicated', and it was quite good considering it was about the older generation getting off with each other. Not as cringey as you might think! And Meryl Street is such a babe for her age I must say!

But yes, all in all a very enjoyable day was yesterday!

Today I'm gonna do the Ministry Of Sound exercise DVD and then pack for Bournemouth as tommorrow's the big move! Eek!

NINE

So I got drawn in by Orange Wednesday again this week and saw the film 'Nine' tonight and must say I enjoyed it!

I just can't resist a film that has that old Hollywood glamour feel to it, it just such great escapism!

My sister, on the other hand, thought that it was a bit of a flop saying that 'nothing happened' in it, but she's a bit of a action-freak, whereas I'm more of a romantic.

What I liked about it was the beautiful camera shots, the fabulous fashion and the drama of it all.

The only thing I have to say bad about it was how rough Fergie looked! Now I know she was meant to look a bit 'worn' but honestly? She looked REAL bad. And another thing that baffled me was Kate Hudsons face... her body stil looked fab, but her face looked really puffy and quite chubby... what's with that?

I must say though all the rest looked amazing- especially Marion Cotillard- she is such a beaut!

Daniel Day-Lewis doesn't look to shabby either in the lead role as frantic 'Quido'.

All in all an enjoyable eve!

Todaaaaay

SO, today is the 12th of Jan 2010 and is an exciting time for me as I'm just about to return back to Uni in Bournemouth!

This week I'm just preparing to go back, getting all my stuff sorted etc. etc. for when I move into my new flat on Sat!

I'm REALLY excited to be going back, but just a bit nervous as well becauase it's been so long since I've been there! But I'm sure it'll be fine! It just feels a bit like th calm before the storm atm though if you know what I mean! eek!

What's ahead for me?? I don't know...
